Medvedev called for creation of an international court action on Saakashvili
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev called for creation of an international court for the actions of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, but he stressed that this issue only Russia’s opinion is not sufficient.
“If you had asked me / the possibility of establishing an international court for Saakashvili /, I would answer” yes “, simply because I think it is / aggression against South Ossetia / was a flagrant violation of international law”, - Medvedev said in an interview “Echo of Moscow”, the Russian television channel “Russia Today” and the Georgian Caucasus to the First Channel. “But given the fact that there can hardly be based only on the position of Russia, I think that creating such a tribunal is not currently feasible” - he explained. “So the court will do the final story, and intermediate - Georgian voters” - the president added.
Speaking about the institution of an international court, whether against Saakashvili and Hosni Mubarak, Medvedev said that this is possible. “But if it is a political voluntarism, the desire to displace this or that leader, in this case against me” - he said.
