Okruashvili has vowed to return to Georgia to overthrow Saakashvili
Former Defense Minister of Georgia, one of the leaders of the opposition, “the Georgian party” Irakli Okruashvili said that on May 25 will be with the protesters in Tbilisi. “I can give two promises - May 25, I will be in Tbilisi, and May 25 will be the last day of the current authorities,” - he said in a broadcast of the Georgian TV Company “Maestro”. However, he stressed: it is not scary, that in Georgia, he could be arrested.
Okruashvili recently lived in France in the status of political refugee. After his arrest in October 2007 concluded a procedural agreement with the prosecution of Georgia and a few months went first to Germany and then France, where last year he received political asylum.
Georgian TV Rustavi 2 reported on Thursday that Okruashvili conducts clandestine meeting in Moscow. In turn, the press center of the Georgian party “in Tbilisi, Interfax said that the current opposition politician in Switzerland and Moscow did not attend.
