Israel returned to Georgia in the list of dangerous countries
April 7 Israeli headquarters in the fight against terror, part of the National Security Council issued a statement according to which on the eve of Passover, the Israelites to refrain from trips to Georgia and Armenia. In these countries there is a danger that they will be stolen by terrorists of Hezbollah or Hamas. As noted on the official website of Staff, in these two countries of the former Soviet Union there is a “specific threat”, said IzRus.
In this case, the list of dangerous countries remain, and two other post-Soviet republics - Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. Turkmenistan for the moment taken out of the list.
It should be noted that this looks strange decision by the Israeli General Staff in the fight against terror. In Georgia, never a trace was neither Hezbollah nor Hamas. Georgia had never even suspected of having links with them, while Russia has a direct relationship with these terrorist organizations, taking their leaders at the state level. And the terrorist threat in Russia as a whole for a few levels higher with respect to Georgia.
Presumably, this decision was made in connection with the arrest in Georgia of two Israeli businessmen who tried to bribe a senior official of the Ministry of Finance. Thus, some Israeli structure of trying to derail the emerging cooperation between the tourist agencies of Georgia and Israel. Unfortunately, such an inadequate attitude towards criminals, the citizens of whatever country they were not primarily harms Israel and questioned the impartiality of the judiciary in this country, because, probably, businessmen, speculators could use their methods of bribing officials and in Israel . And the information that they are approximations to the Israeli prime minister in persons, and at all can damage the image of the Israeli authorities.
