Russians who have been in Abkhazia or South Ossetia, may be in jail while traveling in Georgia

To the Editor of “WP” addressed several relatives of young men, citizens of Russia and Armenia, whose 4-th control the Interior Ministry of Georgia (the local KGB) detained and taken to the notorious prison Gldani on the outskirts of Tbilisi.

They were arrested on charges of “illegally crossing the state border of Georgia.” In recognition of relatives, all detainees have been formally invited to pay off “trial” by making the amount of 5 to 25 thousand dollars in … budget of Georgia. These people have told us first hand stories about the legal arbitrariness in the country which has always been famous for their friendliness and hospitality.

In Russia, the notorious law, few have heard. And the citizens of our country, when he left in Georgia who are in a lighthearted wedding, who by his own business, not just risk. And on really end up in prison only because their passport is stamped Abkhaz or South Ossetian border.

By publishing this material, “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” wants to warn the Russian citizens simply do not enter the “hospitable” Georgia since Saakashvili, if their passports have a mark on the visit of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Otherwise they may end up in torture chambers of the Georgian KGB, as occurred with the heroes of this material.

“Fighters” Saakashvili capable of anything.
