In Pankisi Wahhabism is preparing for war
In the Pankisi Gorge in Georgia clashes supporters of traditional Islam and the Wahhabis. Clashes between the Wahhabis and the followers of traditional Islam are becoming commonplace in the Pankisi Gorge in Georgia, where the family lived Chechens Kists. That place became notorious in the early 2000’s, when pressed by Russian troops from Chechnya militants have crossed the mountain trails of the Greater Caucasus to their relatives in Georgia.
Then, Tbilisi has refused to accept Russia by force to purge the Pankisi Gorge, where Chechen separatists have roamed freely with weapons among the civilian refugees. The Georgian authorities agreed to negotiate with the bandits, and soon Ruslan Gelayev and other field commanders have disappeared from sight.
