Foreign Ministry: Russia is ready to resume transport links with Georgia, but will not talk to Saakashvili
Russia is ready to open regular air links with Georgia, and from March 1, can earn and land border crossing, said Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday in an interview with RIA Novosti, the Voice of Russia “and the TV channel Russia Today. He reiterated that Russia will not have anything to do personally with President Mikheil Saakashvili, but with no contact with the Georgian side, our country is not going away.

Direct flights between Russia and Georgia were canceled in 2006 after tensions between the two countries for a while restored in 2008 and then canceled again after the August 2008 conflict in the Caucasus. Ministry of Transport of Russia in the holidays allow Georgian Airlines Georgian Airways to make direct charter flights to Tbilisi-Moscow-Tbilisi January 8-10, 2010.
